Sheffield Carnival 2018 is a free multi-cultural family event with a costume parade, funfair, stalls and main stage showcasing fantastic local music and dance performances – fun for all to enjoy!

In the 80s and 90s Sheffield Carnival was a fixed September event in Sheffield’s annual calendar featuring a spectacular and colourful procession through the city’s streets. This year, the Sheffield Carnival team are very excited to announce that Sheffield Carnival is rising from the ashes (like a Phoenix) as part of Migration Matters Festival on the 23rd of June 2018.

For carnival 2018, Sheffield has worked hard with one of the UK’s leading carnival artists, Clary Salandy, to create some fantastic costumes based on this year’s theme of The Rise of the Phoenix.

The carnival team invites anyone interested, to join in the parade and show off their amazing costume creation, children, young people and adults alike. If you don’t have a costume, no problem, everyone is welcome, whatever you are wearing.

Please share and invite any family and friends for a great day out. The Sheffield carnival team want everyone to make Sheffield Carnival 2018 a day to remember!
