Yorkshire West Indian Culturama Carnival Network is a carnival, cultural arts and media network that is based around the heritage of the Eastern Caribbean. The driving force behind the idea, is to build stronger communities around Yorkshire and surrounding areas. Though our qualified and professional artist we will be conducting costume making workshops, story telling, Artistic workshops at local centers including workshops in local schools. There is also a Soca and TV radio station as part of our Cultural Movements which will be used to market our promotions and keep constant indirect communication with participants and the general public. Yorkshire West Indian Carnival Network is a non profit organisation to uplift the arts and culture around Yorkshire, the North of England and the UK. The work we do is voluntary and all cultural workshops are free of charge for the benefit of the community.
Get Involved
Everyone is welcome to join our group, you do not have to be Eastern Caribbean or have a West Indian background. If you are enthusiastic, willing to share your skills and learn new ones, we’d love to hear from you. New members are welcome to apply at anytime. Membership forms must be returned at least 48 hours in advance of the annual general meeting, the date of which is to be confirmed. Successful applicants will be selected to the board at the annual general meeting. Membership is £1.00. The application form is available for download below or contact 01422 400 180.

A background check will be carried out within communities locally and regionally to ensure that applicants are not a risk to children, vulnerable adults or the public in general. We look forward to meeting you.
